Challenge

Every other week, someone at Tammer Brands spent almost two full person-days logging into three different freight forwarders' portals, copying the latest delivery dates and ETAs, and manually updating them in the Dynamics AX ERP system. The task was repetitive, tedious and inevitably led to occasional human errors. With AX already approaching end-of-life, building traditional integrations would have been both expensive and short-sighted.

Solution

In under one month from order, Aplika delivered a UiPath RPA robot that logs into each forwarder's system daily, extracts the latest shipment status and ETAs, and updates Dynamics AX ERP automatically – with no changes required to either Tammer Brands' or the forwarders' existing systems. The rollout started with one forwarder and was gradually expanded.

Aplika's own UiPath Framework – developed specially for these processes – made it possible to turn the signed order quickly into a fully working automation solution.
